In order to reduce our environmental impact, our packaging is designed to be recyclable.

What is RPET?

Recycled plastic (rPET) has the same properties as virgin PET: it is lightweight, durable and provides a protective barrier for the water. The main difference is that rPET has already had a previous life before being collected, sorted, and recycled into plastic ready to be used again in a new bottle. Its carbon footprint is lower than that of virgin PET.

We are committed to continuing our efforts at reducing our environmental impact and promoting a circular economy by prioritizing the use of recycled materials in our packaging.

Bottle deposit, a sustainable method for recycling

In 2024, PETREL launched the first multi-brand and multi-retailer consortium to accelerate the deployment of deposit systems for reuse. The consortium ‘La Consigne pour Réemploi’ is an innovative, pioneering, and collective initiative bringing together major market players. Today, PERRIER^®, through the Nestlé Waters group, is proud to be part of this pilot alongside other iconic brands and distributors in France.
