Projects contributing to the regeneration of water cycles
To contribute to the regeneration of water cycles, PERRIER finances and supports projects tasked with making it possible to retain more water in nature than the company uses in the course of its activities. Our approach aims to implement very concrete and measurable actions to respond to shared water challenges and in particular the improvement of the quality of aquatic ecosystems and associated biodiversity. Several projects are currently in preparation (renaturation of watercourses, preservation of ponds and natural spaces with a positive impact on biodiversity). We have also recently signed a project agreement for the renaturation of the Rhôny river in 2024. All of these significant projects carried out with our local partnerships will be revealed very shortly.
AWS: Certification ensuring responsible management of water resources
PERRIER is on course to secure Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) certification for its Vergèze site by 2025.
What is AWS Certification? AWS is an international association whose objective is to promote responsible management of water resources and associated ecosystems. It encourages water use that benefits local communities economically and socially and preserves the sustainability of watersheds.
The AWS certification process fosters more effective coordination between all local stakeholders at the territorial level. It allows us to collectively address local water-related challenges. The AWS standard - Alliance for Water Stewardship - is the first standard to promote good practices in responsible water management on a global scale.
Partnership initiatives, pioneered and partly financed by PERRIER, bring together the various local players (municipalities, farmers, authorities, etc.) to promote the responsible management of activities and ecosystems.
